Frigates
Original Oil/Canvas - Frigates have a 7' wingspan. Their wings are not waterproof. When fishing, they must swoop down to the water and catch a fish that is near the surface. I used alot of heavy paint, moving it around with my palette knife, creating "impasto". Then I glazed the painting. You really have to see it in person to appreciate the affect!
